77Boadrum is a documentary by Jun Kawaguchi of the performance by Boredoms that took place in a park at the foot of Brooklyn Bridge on the 7th July 2007 with 77 drummers. No mere gig, 77Boadrum was in fact a shamanic musical event, or according to EYE "a sonic spiral" whose power lay in its movement the core of musicians out to the audience, "like a snake turning into an enormous dragon". 77Boardrum is a cathartic composition that celebrates 20 years of spiritual and sonic experimentation. The numerologists amongst you will be delighted to hear that the film lasts 77 minutes and 777 seconds.
